Adolf Hitler’s ideology is one of the most discussed topics in modern history. His belief system was based on a mix of extreme nationalism, racism, and anti-Semitism. Hitler believed that Germany should dominate Europe and that it had been wronged by the Treaty of Versailles following World War I. He wanted to establish an Aryan master race which would have dominion over all other races and he believed this could be achieved through expansionism, militarization, and eugenics.

In terms of applying his ideology to regions under his control, Hitler implemented policies aimed at creating a racial hierarchy within German territories as well as those acquired through conquest or occupation during World War II. He pursued policies designed to eliminate Jews from public life in Germany such as restrictions on Jewish businesses, education opportunities, and even banned them from participating in cultural activities like art or sports. In occupied countries like Poland or Ukraine he encouraged forced labor camps, economic exploitation through confiscation of property owned by Jews and other targeted groups (like Roma), as well as mass deportation into concentration camps where genocide took place.
