Plato’s theory of the Forms posits that all physical things in the world are mere reflections of abstract and perfect conceptual realities (1). He argued that these idealized Forms exist outside our realm, in an unchanging realm only accessible by way of reason and philosophical contemplation . Therefore, according to this doctrine, Forms cannot be seen as physical objects because they exist beyond what can be perceived with the senses.
