As an IT engineer, I hope to use my skills and knowledge to design and implement efficient and effective technical solutions for organizations. Through previous coursework, I have gained a strong understanding of cross-platform technologies such as cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT). I remember learning about the various types of cloud services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) (Burgess, 2020). I also gained an understanding of the benefits of cloud computing, including increased flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness (Azure, 2020). There are several connections and relationships between cloud computing, big data, and IoT. First, cloud computing can enable the processing and analysis of large amounts of data, also known as big data. By storing and analyzing data in the cloud, organizations can gain insights and make data-driven decisions in real-time (Gandomi & Haider, 2015). Additionally, cloud computing can support the integration and management of IoT devices, which generate vast amounts of data that can be collected, analyzed, and acted upon in the cloud (Zhang et al., 2019).
