Development refers to the process of improving skills, knowledge, and abilities through learning and training. It can involve formal education or on-the-job learning experiences. On the other hand, empowerment refers to the act of giving power or authority to others, enabling them to take ownership and control over their own work and decisions (Williams & Spink, 2019). While both development and empowerment are important for promoting growth and success in individuals and organizations, they serve slightly different purposes.
