COVID-19 Vaccine Evidence Health care policy

One recently proposed health policy is the COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan in the United States. This policy was developed in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a significant impact on global health and economies. The social determinant that most affects this policy is access to healthcare. Many people in the United States, particularly those from marginalized communities, face barriers in accessing healthcare, including vaccinations. This has led to disparities in vaccine distribution, with some groups being disproportionately affected by the pandemic. There is a strong evidence base to support the proposed vaccine distribution plan. Multiple studies, such as those conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), have demonstrated the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. In a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was found to be 95% effective in preventing COVID-19 (Polack et al., 2020).
