Tenet 7 – Advocate for Access to Health Care
The seventh tenet of the Code of Ethics for Nurses specifies that nurses must advocate for access to health care. This tenet is important because it focuses on increasing patient access, which directly impacts the quality of care they receive. By advocating for increased access to health care, nurses are ensuring that all patients regardless of their economic or social status are able to receive the same quality and standard of care.

In my practice setting, I will ensure that I am advocating for greater access to health care by taking steps such as promoting public education and awareness campaigns related to diseases and treatment options available. Additionally, I will work with other healthcare professionals in my area in order to identify any disparities or gaps in services offered at local hospitals or clinics so we can address them accordingly. Lastly, if any new regulations regarding healthcare policies arise, then I will make sure that those regulations do not limit patient access to affordable and timely services.

By encouraging greater access to health care through advocacy efforts, this helps maximize the quality of patient care since everyone has equal opportunity to obtain necessary medical services when needed. Furthermore, advocating for improved accessibility also benefits me personally as a nurse since I am able to better serve my patients with more resources and support from outside organizations or community partners if needed. Ultimately this allows me as a nurse practitioner provide higher levels of evidence-based care while helping improve overall outcomes across diverse populations no matter where they reside socioeconomically speaking.

Tenet 9 – Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals
The ninth tenet outlined within the Code of Ethics states that nurses should collaborate with other healthcare professionals whenever possible so as enhance effective communication between caregivers and increase comprehensive treatment plans tailored specific patient needs in both individualized instances along with population-wide levels too. This is especially important due its ability promote more complete treatments while ensuring optimal safety measures are being implemented throughout every stage of planning since multiple experts bring an array knowledge together ultimately allowing them craft well-rounded approach tailored meet what’s best patient given situation without compromising safety either side involved
