This scenario presents several variables which can affect the customer service experience for this individual and must be carefully considered before providing treatment. For example, there may be communication barriers due to lack of language proficiency between patient and provider. Other potential issues include cultural differences or religious beliefs that may influence preferences on types of care received or how information should be communicated . Additionally, if a translator is necessary this could cause delays in diagnosis/treatment due to additional time required during assessment period while waiting for an interpreter.
