One change that I believe is necessary in my workplace is to implement a more collaborative work environment. Collaboration between departments or teams has been shown to increase productivity, creativity and innovation while also improving morale within the workplace (Kreisberg, 2017). Unfortunately, many organizations struggle with inter-departmental communication and cooperation which often leads to conflicts and delays in projects.
By implementing a culture of collaboration employees are encouraged to work together on tasks rather than trying to complete them individually. This could involve setting up regular team meetings for discussion and brainstorming sessions as well as allowing for cross functional working groups so everyone can gain an understanding of each other’s roles and responsibilities. Furthermore it may be beneficial encourage open dialogue amongst co-workers order foster sense trust respect – this way everyone will feel comfortable sharing their thoughts ideas freely without fear judgement from others!
