Cloud computing has revolutionized the way businesses and individuals store, access, and manage their data. In this course, I have learned about the fundamentals of cloud computing and how it has enabled users to realize its potential in various aspects of their lives.

One important concept I have learned is scalability. Cloud-based systems allow users to increase or decrease storage space as needed while also expanding or reducing services when necessary. This ability enables companies to easily adjust resources according to demand without overspending on hardware or software licenses. For example, an eCommerce business can quickly scale up when a promotion increases traffic exponentially during holidays by temporarily renting more resources from the cloud instead of investing in new hardware upfront. As such, scalability ensures that a company only pays for what they use at any given time which makes cloud-computing cost efficient and environmentally friendly since power consumption can be reduced accordingly with fewer resources being used.
