Leukemia
There are four main types of leukemia: acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Each type has different characteristics, treatment options, and prognoses. ALL is an aggressive form of the disease that affects immature white blood cells called blasts; CLL is less aggressive but still has a slower progression; AML tends to progress quickly but may respond to chemotherapy; and CML is characterized by an accumulation of damaged white blood cells in the bone marrow.
