The problem space related to this topic is based around how parental incarceration impacts the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of young children within our society. It can be argued that parental incarceration has a variety of consequences for the development and future outcomes of these minors; however, there is limited research exploring or supporting this claim regarding such effects. Furthermore, due to the scarcity in research available, more attention needs to be given towards understanding how these effects manifest over time as well as identifying resources that can help address these issues within affected communities across America.
