Criminal justice is the system of laws and legal procedures that are used to protect people’s rights, address criminal behavior, and ensure public safety. This system consists of three primary components – law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections. Each component works together to form an effective criminal justice system that ensures fairness and equal treatment for all individuals regardless of their background.

The most visible part of this system is law enforcement which includes agencies such as police departments that are responsible for arresting suspects, gathering evidence, issuing citations/warrants etc… The role of the judiciary is often less visible but just as important; they interpret laws in court proceedings in order to determine guilt or innocence while also ensuring due process rights are upheld throughout the trial process. Finally corrections include programs like probation &parole designed rehabilitate offenders back into society without putting them at risk further harming themselves others around them !
