Mental health professionals can provide therapeutic assistance to individuals in need, which can lead to improved psychological well-being and positive changes in behaviors. Therapy could also help mitigate systemic issues such as poverty, discrimination, or inequality by facilitating healing for those who experience them on a daily basis. For example, through my work I could help people recognize their own worthiness and self-worth; this would allow them to find more fulfilling relationships with others and gain greater access to resources that can help improve their quality of life.
